We understand the value of stained glass art and know that certain things are irreplaceable. We can do repairs to most stained glass panels or lamps. We do however only make repairs to zinc, copper foil and leaded stained glass panels.
When servicing a repair, the broken stained glass panel will need to be carefully removed so that no further damage is done. Once removed the opening can be boarded up with plywood to temporarily keep the elements out. A repair can take up to seven to ten days to complete depending upon the severity of damage done to the stained glass window.
The stained glass window is then carefully disassembled around the damaged area, new glass is cut and the area is rebuilt using new lead where needed. We pay great attention to detail, making it virtually impossible to detect the repaired area. The final step would be to reseal both the front and back of the stained glass panel. The entire window is then cleaned and polished.Once completed the board up is removed and the clean repaired stained glass panel is then reinstalled into the opening.
